This policy explains what personal data Seekers Digital (“Seekers”, “we”, “us”) collects when you use the Seekers mobile apps, the web app at app.seek-ers.com and the website seek-ers.com (together, the “Service”), why we collect it, who we share it with and the choices you have. Seekers Digital is the controller of your personal data.
1. Data we collect
Data you give us
- Account: name, email address, password (stored hashed), and optionally phone number, date of birth, gender, profile photo, bio and the outdoor activities you like. If you sign in with Google, Apple or Facebook, we receive your name, email and profile photo from that provider.
- Content you publish: posts, photos, videos, comments, reactions, trips, marketplace listings, reviews and messages (private, group and trip chats).
- Business accounts (camping centers and groups): business name, description, address and map location, contact details, opening hours, prices, photos, payment account details you choose to display (bank or wallet), and verification documents such as an identity card or registration documents. Verification documents are used only to verify the business and are visible only to our review team.
- Bookings and payments: booking requests (dates, number of guests, children's ages), payment receipts you upload, and messages exchanged with the host.
- Support and contact: what you send us through the in-app support chat, the website contact form or email.
Data collected automatically
- Usage and device data: app version, device model, operating system, language, IP address, and how you use features (for example screens viewed, views of profiles and trips), used to run, secure and improve the Service.
- Crash reports: technical information about crashes and errors (Firebase Crashlytics).
- Push notification token: to send you notifications you can turn off at any time.
- Advertising identifiers: on mobile, the device advertising ID (Android Advertising ID / Apple IDFA, only if you allow tracking on iOS) and, on the web, cookies, used by Google to show and measure ads. See section 6.
- Location: only when you choose a place on the map (for example a business location or a trip meeting point), with your permission. We do not track your location in the background.
2. How we use your data
- To provide the Service: create your account, show your profile and content, run trips, bookings, the marketplace, chats and notifications.
- To verify camping centers and groups before they are published, and to keep the community safe (moderating content, including automated checks of uploaded images, handling reports, preventing fraud and abuse).
- To show ads, including personalized ads where you consent, and to measure their performance.
- To send service emails (verification codes, password reset, booking and payment updates, invoices) and, where allowed, news about Seekers that you can unsubscribe from.
- To answer your support requests and to analyze and improve the Service.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
We do not sell your personal data.
3. Legal bases
Where data protection laws such as the GDPR apply, we rely on: the performance of our contract with you (providing the Service); our legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, improving the Service, non-personalized ads); your consent (personalized ads, optional permissions such as location and camera, marketing emails), which you can withdraw at any time; and legal obligations. In Tunisia we process personal data in accordance with Organic Law No. 2004-63 on the protection of personal data.
4. Who can see your data
- Other members: your public profile, posts, trips, listings, reviews and business profile are visible to other users. Private messages are visible only to the people in the conversation. Your exact phone number and verification documents are not shown publicly.
- Hosts and organizers: when you request a trip or a stay, the organizer or camping center sees your profile, your request details and the receipts you upload.
- Service providers that process data on our behalf (section 5), under contracts that protect your data.
- Authorities when required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of our users and of Seekers.
- A successor if Seekers Digital is involved in a merger or acquisition, with notice to you.
5. Service providers

| Google AdMob and Google AdSense | Showing and measuring ads (section 6) |
| Google, Apple, Facebook (Meta) | Optional sign-in with your existing account |
| Brevo (Sendinblue) | Sending service emails |
| OpenStreetMap | Map tiles (requested through our servers, not linked to your account) |
| OpenWeather | Weather forecasts for trip locations |

6. Advertising & cookies
Seekers is free thanks to advertising. In the mobile apps we use Google AdMob; on the web app we use Google AdSense. Seekers also shows sponsored content and banners from businesses on the platform; these are labeled as sponsored.
- Google and its partners may use cookies, device identifiers and similar technologies to show ads based on your previous visits to this and other websites or apps, and to measure ads. Learn more in how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
- If you are in the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, we ask for your consent before personalized ads are shown, through a consent message (Google's certified consent management). You can change your choice at any time in the app: Profile → Edit profile → Privacy → Ad privacy choices.
- On iOS, personalized ads use your advertising identifier only if you allow tracking when the app asks (App Tracking Transparency). You can change this in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- On Android you can reset or delete your advertising ID in Settings → Google → Ads (or Settings → Privacy → Ads).
- You can opt out of personalized advertising from Google at adssettings.google.com and from many advertisers at aboutads.info or youronlinechoices.eu.
- Without consent you may still see non-personalized ads, which use only limited data (for example approximate location from your IP address) to show and measure ads.
This website (seek-ers.com) does not use advertising or analytics cookies. It loads fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address to deliver them.
7. Device permissions
- Photos and media: to choose photos and videos to post, for your profile or for listings. We only access the items you select.
- Camera: to take photos and to scan identity or business documents during business verification.
- Location (while using the app): to pick a place on the map.
- Notifications: to alert you about messages, bookings and activity.
- Tracking (iOS): only for personalized ads, see section 6.
Every permission is optional and can be turned off in your device settings; some features will then be unavailable.
8. Payments
Seekers does not process card payments and never stores card numbers. Payments for trips, stays and plans are made by bank or wallet transfer directly to the host or to Seekers Digital; you upload a receipt as proof. Receipts are visible only to the person you paid and to our team, and are kept for accounting purposes.
9. How long we keep data
- Account data, content, messages, bookings, payment records and business profile (including verification documents): kept while your account is active and deleted immediately when you delete your account. Any copies in server backups disappear as backups are rotated.
- Invoices already sent to you by email stay in your mailbox and ours, as accounting law requires.
- Server logs and crash reports: up to 12 months.
- Contact form and support emails: up to 2 years after the last exchange.
10. Your rights & choices
Depending on where you live, you can ask to access, correct, delete or export your data, object to or restrict some processing, and withdraw consent at any time. You can edit most data directly in the app. To exercise any right, email support@seek-ers.com; we answer within 30 days. You may also complain to your data protection authority (in Tunisia, the INPDP; in the EU, your local authority).
You can unsubscribe from non-essential emails with the link in each email, and turn off notifications in the app or device settings.
11. Deleting your account
In the app: Profile → Edit profile → Privacy → Delete account. You can also request deletion without the app by following the steps on our account deletion page. Deletion is immediate and permanent, as described in section 9.
12. Children
Seekers is not intended for children under 13, and users under 16 should use it with a parent's or guardian's permission. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13; if you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it. Ads in Seekers are not directed at children.
13. Security
We use encryption in transit (HTTPS), hashed passwords and access limited to the staff who need it. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password and tell us right away about any suspicious activity.
14. International transfers
Our servers are located in the European Union, and some providers (such as Google and Cloudinary) may process data in other countries, including the United States. Where required, these transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
15. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. We will post the new version on this page with a new date and, for significant changes, notify you in the app or by email.
